The World of Breton
Delarue & Jean-Paul entered the strange world of 42 Rue Fontaine, Breton’s apartment in Pigalle.
They had heard of his collection but were still quite astounded, the whole space was full of exotic objects placed in such a way as to create new relationships and meanings. Breton was a perfect host & it wasn’t long before the apartment was full of people, Mathieu left with two valuable insights into his Surreal world, the importance of objects & walking.
Objects, & their relationships provide the substance of reality, thereby their rearrangement can provide the Surreal.
Walking was a must forBreton, it provided the engine for the Surreal, moving through space, observing the world and allowing your own thoughts, conscious & subconscious to merge.
Delarue had always enjoyed walking, but now he would do it as a necessary part of his life, he would also start tto collect things that encouraged relationship.
