Rue Amelot

110 rue Amelot, Delarue’s main residence in the 1930’s situated to the right of Republic and famed for the Cirque d’hiver Bouglione half way along the street.

We had managed to rent an apartment at the top of number 114 – 2 doors away from Delarue’s old haunt and overlooking the neighboring Tigers & Elephants, as we waited for the owner to arrive with the keys we passed the time watching the acts displayed on the large screen fixed to the outside of the building.
