He&#8217;d been watching him for a few minutes, fascinated by the man&#8217;s obvious indecision &#8211; he would walk to the corner of the street then pause, then wander back the way he&#8217;d come. The thought occurred to Mathieu that the man&#8217;s constantly changing direction was caused by a phenomenon he was colliding with.
